Dhruv Vikram is teaming up with director Mari Selvaraj for his next film. The yet-to-be titled film is said to be based on Arjuna awardee Tamil kabbadi player Manathi Ganeshan. The film is expected to start production in August and is apparently being produced by director Pa. Ranjith’s Neelam Productions.
Dhruv has likely begun his preparation for the role of the Kabbadi player, learning how to play the game and building up a more lean physique for it. While addressing the media, Selvaraj said that Manathi Ganeshan is a close relative of his and that he always wanted to feature a film about him.
Director Mari Selvaraj is currently busy with his next film, Maamannan’s post-production work. The film cast features actors Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu, Keerthy Suresh, and Fahadh Faasil in the main roles.
Udhayanidhi has also decided that this film will be his last so that he can concentrate more on his duties as Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development of Tamil Nadu. The audio and trailer for the film are expected to release on June 1, 2023.
