Hyderabad: According to various media reports and industry insiders, there is speculation that actor Kamal Haasan will be portraying the main antagonist in the upcoming Prabhas film ‘Project K,’ directed by Nag Ashwin, known for the critically acclaimed movie “Mahanati.” Sources suggest that Kamal Haasan has allocated 20 days in August for shooting and is rumoured to have charged ₹150 crore as remuneration.
‘Project K’ has been generating significant buzz as it is rumoured to be a futuristic sci-fi action film, promising a never-before-seen avatar for the actors involved. The movie marks the Telugu debut of actress Deepika Padukone, with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan also joining the cast. Actress Disha Patani and other prominent figures are expected to have substantial roles in the film. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie will be released in two parts, with the first instalment scheduled to hit theatres on January 12, 2024, coinciding with the festival of Makar Sankranti.
Kamal Haasan is presently engaged in the shooting of his upcoming film, ‘Indian 2,’ which is a sequel to his 1996 movie “Indian.” Additionally, he is expected to collaborate with directors Pa Ranjith and H Vinoth on their respective upcoming projects.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is preparing for the release of ‘Adipurush’ on June 16, 2023, and he has a line-up of films that includes ‘Salaar,’ directed by Prashanth Neel, ‘Spirit,” with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, as well as an untitled horror-comedy film.
The anticipation surrounding ‘Project K’ and the star-studded cast has captivated audiences, and fans eagerly await its release, expecting an extraordinary cinematic experience.
