The anticipation for Prabhas’ upcoming film, Project K, continues to grow with each update. In an exciting announcement, the makers revealed that Project K will have its official launch at the prestigious San Diego Comic-Con event on July 20. This makes it the first-ever Indian film to debut at San Diego Comic-Con in 2023. The event will feature the unveiling of the film’s title, trailer, and release date to the audience. The San Diego Comic-Con event will begin on July 19.
To mark this milestone, a special poster of Prabhas in caricature form was shared, showcasing him as a powerful superhero with special abilities. The panel features prominent guests such as actors Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, as well as national award-winning filmmaker Nag Ashwin.
Expressing his excitement about this exclusive event, director Nag Ashwin stated, “India is the home of some of the greatest lore and superheroes ever written. We feel that our film is an attempt to bring out and share this with the world. And Comic Con gives us the perfect stage to introduce our story to a global audience.”
Amitabh Bachchan, taking to Twitter, expressed his honour and privilege to be part of the Telugu cinema enterprise, ‘Project K’, and to share the frame with Prabhas. He also thanked Nag Ashwin for thinking of him and praised Prabhas for his humility, respect, and concern. Bachchan extended his love and prayers to everyone involved in ‘Project K’, hoping that their hard work would achieve new horizons.
According to reports, Project K will explore a futuristic concept rooted in Hindu mythology. Deepika Padukone is the female lead, Kamal Haasan will portray the antagonist, and Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani will play important roles. The pan-Indian film will be released in two parts, with the first instalment expected to hit theatres on January 12, 2024, coinciding with the festival of Makar Sankranthi.
