Kochi: Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who achieved success with the 2018 film “Everyone Is A Hero,” is now gearing up to start shooting for his upcoming movie “Nadikar Thilakam.” Tovino took to social media on Sunday to share an update about the film. “Nadikar Thilakam” revolves around Tovino’s character, a popular movie superstar dealing with family issues, depression, and addiction. Expressing his excitement, Tovino shared a vibrant poster on social media to announce that the shooting for “Nadikar Thilakam” will commence on July 11, 2023.
“Lights, Camera, Nadikar Thilakam! We’re thrilled to announce that the much-awaited shoot for Nadikar Thilakam begins on July 11, 2023!” shared Tovino via his social handle.
The film’s scriptwriter, Suvin Somashekharan, described “Nadikar Thilakam” as a fun yet realistic entertainer. He mentioned that, despite the title, the movie does not revolve around the acting profession. Tovino plays the central character, and Soubin also has a significant role in the film.
Apart from “Nadikar Thilakam,” Tovino has several other projects in different stages of production. He recently shared a major update about his upcoming film titled “Identity,” announcing that Trisha Krishnan would join the cast as the female lead. Trisha expressed her excitement about working with the team and described the movie as a “high-octane action entertainer.” The film is scripted by the makers of “Forensic,” Anas Khan and Akhil Paul.
Lal Jr., known for films like “Driving Licence” and “Honey Bee,” is directing this highly anticipated project. “Nadikar Thilakam” is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Allan Antony and Anoop Venugopal’s God Speed, with a reported budget of ₹40 crore. Alongside Tovino and Soubin, the film is expected to feature a talented ensemble cast, including Veena Nandakumar, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Anoop Menon, Shine Tom Chacko, Sreenath Bhasi, Lal, and Madhupal.
