Thiruvananthapuram: It’s the time when the state government repeatedly laments with great pathos of the financial difficulties. It’s the time when the government authorities moves in the dark due to fund starvation. It’s the time when the government finds no way to keep on its routine functions. And ironically, it’s the time the Pinarayi government grants rupees 1. 5 lac as T A for A Sampath.

This is another example of the usual bungling of the state government. The Department of Finance has approved the travel bill sent by Kerala House Resident Commissioner. Sampath was appointed as special envoy in Delhi with cabinet rank. Now the amount of 1.5 lac is granted as the expense for flying to and fro Thiruvananthapuram- Delhi.

A Sampath was appointed as the special envoy soon after his defeat in the Lok Sabha election from Attingal constituency. Pinarayi government spends fifty lac per year for this post of special envoy. The government allotted 2 private secretaries,P A,driver, vehicle and gunman. It is alleged that though the government spends much over A Sampath, he remains unfit for this post.
