Thiruvananthapuram : BJP has announced for statewide protest today. The protest is against the arrest of BJP State General Secretery K Surendran and Thrissur district General President A Nagesh and their companions who trek to Sabarimala for darshan.
Blockade of the National highway, by BJP supports and devotees, is in protest to the arrest of BJP leaders and the police brutality to devotees in Sabarimala. Advocate P S Sreedharan Pillai requests all the devotees and the democrats to be a part in the struggle for dharma, against police raj. The siege is in progress at various parts of the state. The protest that began by 10.00 am will end by 11.30 am.
