According to the reports, another Ramayan project, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is said to be in the works. This film will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
Alia Bhaat will play the female protagonist in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Trend analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted that Ranbir will portray Lord Rama and rock star Yash would play as Ravana.
There are rumors that celebs like Mahesh Babu, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Yash have been contacted for this project. Deepika Padukone was reportedly sought for the part of Sita, while Hrithk Roshan was allegedly approached for the role of Raavana.
Many films have been made based on the epic Ramayana. The latest film based on Ramanaya, ‘Adipurush,’ starring actor Prabhas, will be released in theatres on June 16th.
