Passengers travelling through Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport will now be able to use the ‘DigiYatra’ facility without downloading the mobile application. Passengers can avail of this facility from Terminal 3.
The registration process involves three steps. The registration process would involve passengers scanning their face and boarding pass, along with producing an identification proof to the security personnel who are stationed near the registration desk. After the successful registration, passengers will get to travel without any hassle, inside the terminal, at the boarding gates, and even in the security check area.
This facility will eliminate the time spending for long wait.
Earlier, to avail of the DigiYatra facility, passengers needed to download the DigiYatra application on their phones and register using their Aadhaar linked number. But with this new implementation, there is no need to download, so passengers can save time. This will be comfortable for people who do not have much technical knowledge.
The updated version takes only 1 minute for passengers to complete the registration process.
