London: The Australian cricket team has emerged victorious in the World Test Championship, defeating India by a commanding margin of 209 runs. With this triumph, Australia has etched their name in the history as the first team to win all the major International Cricket Council (ICC) competitions.
The opening day was marked by the notable absence of R Ashiwn, a decision that sparked debates among fans and experts alike. However, it was the Australia who took control of the game from the very beginning.
As the final day of the match dawned, Indian fans held high hopes as their batsmen star, Virat Kholi and Ajinkya Rahane, took to the crease to chase down the rest 280 runs from the target in day five.
However, their aspirations were short- lived, as Kohli was dismissed by Boland after contributing 49 runs from 78 balls. Rahane, was eventually caught out after scoring a commendable 46 runs from 108 balls.
For India, this marked their second consecutive defeat in the WTC having a previous lost to New Zealand in 2021.
