Dhaka: Excitement filled the air at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka as Bangladesh prepared to take on Afghanistan in a highly anticipated one-off Test match. Afghanistan would be really missing Rashid Khan while he is on rest. Under the captaincy of Litton Das, Bangladesh aimed to make their mark in this crucial encounter, while Afghanistan, led by Shahid, won the toss and opted to bowl first.
The opening batsmen for Bangladesh, Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Zakir Hasan, stepped onto the crease amidst eager anticipation from the home crowd.
