Coimbatore: In a mesmerizing exhibition of spin bowling, Indian international stars Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Chakravarthy played pivotal roles in guiding the Dindigul Dragons to a commanding six-wicket victory over Ballsy Trichy in a Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) match on Wednesday.
Ashwin, showcased his prowess with the ball by claiming impressive figures of 2/26 in his four overs. His accurate variations and ability to deceive the batsmen posed significant challenges for the opposition.
Meanwhile, Chakravarthy another highly experienced spinner and a prominent member of the Indian cricket team, demonstrated his class by contributing three crucial wickets while conceding just 21 runs in his allotted four overs.
The TNPL, which commenced on June 12 and will continue until July 12, is a prestigious domestic state league organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA). The tournament features eight teams representing different regions of the state, showcasing the immense talent and depth of cricket in Tamil Nadu.
