Berlin – The Special Olympics World Games 2023 concluded on Sunday with a moving and triumphant closing ceremony held at the iconic Brandenburg Gate in the heart of the city. The gate, once a symbol of division during the city’s partition, has now become a powerful representation of unity, perfectly reflecting the spirit of an event that celebrates diversity, unity, and exceptional skills.
India concluded the final day of the Games with an impressive medal tally of 202 ( 76 gold, 75 silver, and 51 bronze). The Indian athletes showcased their exceptional talent on the athletic track, securing six medals in various events. Among the standout performances were those of Aanchal Goyal (400m, Level B Female) and Ravimathi Arumugam (400m, Level C Female), who dominated their races to claim the gold medals.
