One of the notable milestones of the day is Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon’s 100th consecutive match at Lord’s. Lyon will become the first spinner in cricket history to achieve this remarkable feat, solidifying his place in the record books.
Speaking at the toss, England skipper Ben Stokes explained the decision, stating, “We are gonna have a bowl. Overhead conditions played a massive part, and the surface looks good to have a bowl as well. Disappointed not having Woody, but Tongue is a like-for-like replacement.
