New Delhi: Former world No. 1 tennis player Caroline Wozniacki made a surprising announcement on Thursday, revealing her return to professional tennis after retiring from the sport in 2020. Wozniacki, who took a break from competitive tennis to start a family, has been granted a wildcard entry to the upcoming US Open later this yearc

After an absence of over three years, the 32-year-old Danish tennis star is set to make a highly anticipated comeback to the sport that she once dominated. During her illustrious career, Wozniacki spent a total of 71 weeks at the top of the women’s singles rankings, leaving an indelible mark on the tennis world.

Wozniacki’s list of achievements includes numerous singles titles, including a Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open in 2018. Known for her exceptional defensive skills and fighting spirit on the court, she captivated audiences with her relentless determination and remarkable consistency.

In 2020, Wozniacki made the decision to retire from professional tennis at the age of 29. She expressed her desire to start a family with her husband, former NBA player David Lee.
