Kochi: According to a report, Kerala Blasters FC, one of the prominent clubs in the Indian Super League (ISL), has made a significant addition to their squad by signing Japanese forward Daisuke Sakai on a one-year deal. The acquisition of Sakai is expected to add a new dimension to the team’s attacking prowess.

Daisuke Sakai, aged 26, is renowned for his technical finesse, versatile style of play, and impressive skills on the field. Hailing from Japan, he has had a diverse and enriching football career, having plied his trade in leagues across Japan, Thailand, and Belgium.

One of the standout features of Sakai’s career is his representation of Japan at the international level. He has donned the national colour in both the U-17 and U-20 FIFA World Cup tournaments, showcasing his talent and potential on the global stage.
