Thiruvananthapuram: A worrisome case of a missing police officer has unfolded in Thiruvananthapuram, as Civil Police Officer Nasimuddin, stationed at the Kazhakuttam police station, has been reported missing since Monday.
According to sources close to the investigation, Nasimuddin’s wife, Sunira, filed a formal complaint with the Poonthura police after numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach her husband by phone.
The events leading up to Nasimuddin’s disappearance began on Monday morning, when he contacted his superiors at the Kazhakuttam police , informing them that he was unwell and would be unable to report for duty. Subsequently, Nasimuddin left his residence at the Poontura quarters, taking a car, and has not been seen or heard from since.
The local police have begun their investigation into the matter. Initial reports suggest that Nasimuddin may have been grappling with family problems, which could have contributed to his decision to leave home.
