Excise arrests two individuals with 240 kg banned tobacco products at the Kasaragod check post

Kasaragod: In a recent operation conducted by the Excise Department, two individuals have been taken into custody in Kasaragod. The apprehended suspects have been identified as K. Anwar Ali, a resident of Uliathadukka in Kasaragod, and Moithu. B, hailing from Cherkala. The Excise Department executed the arrests in connection with the seizure of 240 kg of banned tobacco products.

The banned tobacco products were discovered at the Manjeswaram Excise check post, located in Kasaragod, during a routine inspection conducted by excise officers. The contraband was being transported in a car from Karnataka and was recovered upon suspicion by vigilant excise personnel.
