Bengaluru: Three young women from Chennai were arrested in case of trying to smuggle gold in undergarments. 5.2 kg of gold worth Rs 3.3 crore was seized from the women. The women were arriving from Dubai to Bengaluru by Emirates flight . The gold was found in paste form and hidden inside the underwear.
The women came to Dubai from Chennai last month after getting a job in a private company. But the women’s claim is that the company cheated them and that they smuggled the gold because the company threatened them that they would not give them a return flight ticket unless they smuggle the gold. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
