New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Delhi Airport Metro Line to the nation on his birthday. As a passenger in the Delhi Metro, he impressed his fellow passengers and inaugurated the Airport Metro Line. The Prime Minister’s metro journey was to attend the inauguration ceremony of Yasobhoomi Convention Center.
During the journey, he interacted with fellow passengers and children and also spoke to the Delhi Metro staff and asked for information. After inauguration he also spoke to the construction workers. Delhi Metro plans to increase the operating speed of metro trains on the Airport Express Line from 90 kmph to 120 kmph. The construction work of Yashobhoomi was done at a cost of Rs.100 crores.
On the occasion of the Prime Minister’s 73rd birthday, a wide range of events have been organized across the country. The event will be held from today till October 2. Blood donation camps and other service programs have been organized in various centers across the country under the leadership of BJP.
