‘If the wife works, her beauty will be lost, the family will be destroyed, the society will be destroyed.’; Bangladesh bowler Tansim Hasan in controversy.

Bangladesh cricket’s  young pacer Tansim Hasan Shakib has come under widespread criticism on social media for his anti-women remarks. The Bangladesh Cricket Board also got involved in the controversy and clarified that the investigation is going on and action will be taken if found guilty.

Many prominent personalities have come forward to criticize the 20-year-old cricketer. Last year, Tansim Hasan posted the controversial post on Facebook. Tanzim is one of the most promising cricketers in Bangladesh.

“If the wife works, the rights of the husband will not be guaranteed. If the wife works, the child’s rights are not protected. If the wife works, she loses her beauty. If the wife works, the family will be destroyed. If the wife works, the society will be destroyed”. In another post, he also argues that if he marries ‘a woman who freely interacted with male friends at a university’, his children will not have a ‘modest’ mother.
