New Delhi: Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that there will be parliamentary discussions on the women’s reservation bill every day. He said that the meeting which started at 11 am has been decided to continue till 6 pm. The Union Minister was talking to mediapersons ahead of the upcoming debate in the Lok Sabha regarding the women’s reservation bill.
The women’s reservation bill has nothing to do with politics. He also said that with the passage of the women’s reservation bill, the number of seats for women in the Lok Sabha will increase to 181.
Arjun Ram Meghwal introduced the women’s reservation bill in the first session held in the new parliament building. The women’s reservation bill introduced by the center will be discussed after the parliamentary proceedings. The 128th constitutional amendment bill has decided to reserve 33 percent seats for women in the Lok Sabha and all state assemblies.
The Prime Minister said in the parliament session that the central government is bringing an important constitutional amendment bill with our determination of women-led development. The government wants more women to participate in the development process of the country, he added.
