Born on September 28, 1929, Lata Mangeshkar’s musical legacy is indelible, resonating across every corner of the country. Recognized as the ‘Nightingale of India,’ she earned numerous awards and accolades throughout her illustrious career, including the Bharat Ratna in 2001.
Lata Mangeshkar won three National Film Awards, 15 Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards, four Filmfare Women’s Playback Awards, two Filmfare Special Awards, and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. Although Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, 2022, her melodious songs continue to keep her alive in the hearts of her fans.
