Hyderabad : Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf has sparked a new controversy with his recent remarks about India. These controversial statements from the PCB chief come in the wake of a warm welcome extended to the Pakistan cricket team upon their recent arrival in India.
Despite the longstanding political tensions between the two nations, Indian cricket fans displayed their immense love for the sport by chanting the name of Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, and other players of the team at the Hyderabad airport. However, in an interview with Pakistani media, Ashraf appeared to say, “Players should boost their morale when they go to the ‘enemy country’ or where the match is taking place. We should give them a lot of support to perform well.”
Ashraf’s comments have garnered criticism from both Indian and Pakistani cricket enthusiasts.
