Idukki :CPI(M) leader MM Mani has justified his criticism of Motor Vehicle Department officials, where he reportedly used abusive language and threats, including heinous words, during a march to the Udumbanchola taluk hospital. MM Mani defended his actions, stating that his words were not inappropriate and that he would continue to express his views.
“If you believe that excessive fines are necessary, there is room for discussion. The Motor Vehicle Department’s strict actions against autorickshaw drivers, including a fine of Rs 3000, led to my criticism. I will continue to express my views and take whatever actions are necessary, not limited to criticism. Take action against the people and then mention the name of Pinarayi Vijayan; this is a political game,” MM Mani stated.
He further added, “Whether it’s the RTO, Joint RTO, Revenue Officer, Collector, or Chief Secretary, rudeness should not be tolerated. The government has its own mechanisms for tax collection. Did the government instruct you to exploit? Did it encourage you to exploit your mother and sisters? If we delve into politics, you will not be able to remain here any longer”.
