Century shines for Bharat at Asian Games; PM congratulates medal winners

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday felicitated the athletes who achieved medals for their outstanding performances in the Asian Games. The Prime Minister conveyed his congratulations to these stars through X.

“A momentous achievement for India at the Asian Games! The people of India are thrilled that we have reached a remarkable milestone of 100 medals. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our phenomenal athletes whose efforts have led to this historic milestone for India. Every awe-inspiring performance has made history and filled our hearts with pride. I look forward to hosting our Asian Games contingent on the 10th and interacting with our athletes,” PM Modi wrote on X.

This is a historic moment for India at the Asian Games as our women’s kabaddi team secured the gold. This victory is a testament to the indomitable spirit of our women athletes, and India takes immense pride in their achievement. The Prime Minister also tweeted his congratulations to the team.

PM Modi extended his congratulations to Ojas Praveen Deotel and Abhishek Verma, who won the silver medal in the men’s compound archery category at the Asian Games. In his tweet, the Prime Minister commended their achievement, attributing it to their determination and unwavering focus.

India also celebrated a proud victory in the women’s archery compound category, with Jyoti Surekha winning the gold and Aditi Gopichand securing the bronze after a fierce battle. The Prime Minister praised their dedication and skills, highlighting that they bring honor to the nation, and India rejoices in their accomplishments.
