Firecracker shop catches fire; 12 people burn to death

Bengaluru: A tragic incident unfolded as a major fire engulfed a firecracker godown-cum-shop in Bengaluru on Saturday, resulting in the death of at least 12 individuals. The accident occurred at the shop situated in Attibele, within the Anekal taluk in Bengaluru. The fire erupted while unloading a shipment of crackers at the shop, causing severe burns to the victims. In addition to the casualties, the shop owner and workers sustained injuries in the incident. The blaze also led to the destruction of five nearby shops and numerous vehicles.

Four individuals were left in critical condition due to the fire. A prompt response from five fire engines initiated a rescue operation, and it has been reported that the fire is now under control. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
