Renowned film producer P.V. Gangadharan passed away . He was 80. He passed away at a private hospital in Kozhikode at around 6:30 this morning ( October 13). Gangadharan was known for producing several nationally award-winning films in the Malayalam language.
Some of the notable films produced by PV Gangadharan include Sujata, Manasa Vaacha Karmana, Angadi, Ahimsa, Chiriyo Chiri, Katathe Kilikoodu, Ithiri Poove Chuvanna Poove, Ozhivukaalam, Vaartha, Oru Vadakkan Veeragaadha, Ennum Nanmakal, Advaitham, Ekalavyan, Thoovalkottaram, Kaanakkinavu, Ennu Swantham Janakikutty, Veendum Chila Veettukaaryangal, Kochu Kochu Santhooshangal, Shantham, Achuvinte Amma, Yes Your Honor, Notebook, and more. His productions were made under the banner of Grihalakshmi Productions.
Born in Kozhikode in 1943 as the son of Sami and Madhavi Sami, P.V. Gangadharan was actively involved in both the film and political fields. He began his political career with the KSU, and in 2011, he contested the Kozhikode North constituency. Currently, he was a member of the AICC. He is survived by his wife, Sherin, and three children, Shenuga, Shegna, and Sherga.
