Palakkad: Three members of a family were found dead by hanging in their residence in Kuzhalmannam, Palakkad. The deceased have been identified as Sinila (41), her son Rohit (19), and Sinila’s sister’s son Subin (23). All three were found hanging in the kitchen of their home early in the morning.

According to the local residents, Sinila’s brother, Binil, had borrowed money from the Kuzhalmannam Co-operative Bank, using documents of their ancestral home as collateral. The bank had notified the family a few days ago about their intention to attach the property due to Binil’s failure to repay the loan. The fear of losing their ancestral home may have compelled the family members to commit suicide. These reports are not officially confirmed by the police.

The Kuzhalmannam police arrived at the scene and started an investigation. It has been informed that a case has been registered, and the investigative process is underway. The dead bodies have been shifted to the Palakkad District Hospital.
