Ernakulam: Two suspects, Sajalal and Ubaidullah were arrested for sexually assaulting a three-and-a-half-year-old girl in Perumbavoor. The arrested were the natives of Assam. A case has been registered on the basis of the statement given by the child’s mother. Police said that the child has identified the accused and a case has been registered against the accused under the POCSO section.
The crime came to light after the child complained of pain in her private parts and her parents took her to the nearest taluk hospital. The child’s parents are workers in a plywood factory in Vattakkattupady. The child had come to the factory with them. The child who was playing was taken by two migrant workers and sexually assaulted. Police informed that the child’s condition is satisfactory.
