Thiruvananthapuram: Long-distance passengers in Kerala have struggled with the issue of uncertain KSRTC bus timings, often leading to long waits at bus stops. A new technological innovation is set to put an end to these concerns. Google has introduced a solution that enables travellers to check the timing of KSRTC buses on Google Maps.
This innovative system is set to revolutionise how passengers check bus arrivals and departures. Initially, the service will be rolled out for long-distance KSRTC buses operating from the Thampanoor depot. The information will be accessible to passengers through the Google Transistor.
Currently, scheduling details for approximately half of the superfast buses are available. The next phase involves the installation of GPS systems in KSRTC buses, which is nearing completion. Once GPS is installed, Google will be able to provide passengers with real-time bus information. The long-distance KSRTC bus information will be accessible through the KSRTC Neo app.
