Kollam: A tuition teacher has brutally beaten a 6th-grade student for failing to complete his homework. The complaint has been filed against Riyas, a teacher at the Pattathanam Academy Tuition Center. The child’s parents informed that they had lodged a complaint against the teacher with Childline.
The event happened yesterday at the tuition center. According to reports, the teacher, Riyas, confronted the student after discovering he hadn’t completed the assigned homework. The child informed the teacher that he had completed the homework but did not have it with him at the time.
In response to this explanation, Riyas is said to have reacted with anger, resulting in the assault on the student. The incident came to light when the student returned home and told his sister about it. When the parents came home, they found their child lying injured.
The child was immediately taken to the hospital. Legal action is being pursued against the teacher in connection with this incident.
