Kottayam: In Melukavu, a car caught fire near CMS Higher Secondary School around 10:30 a.m. The car, which was carrying a group of four individuals, was entirely consumed by the fire.
A priest and his family were travelling in the car. People from other vehicles noticed the smoke and alerted the family. With this, the group of four managed to exit the car safely. Locals said that the fire was spreading with a loud noise. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle was entirely consumed by fire, with flames and smoke billowing from it. Firefighters from Erattupetta arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. The cause of the car fire remains unknown, and the police have stated that a detailed investigation will be necessary to determine the reasons for this incident.
