Kannur: A native of Panoor, who stands accused in several criminal cases, has been charged under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act (KAAPA) and subsequently deported. Amal Raj, a resident of Puthoor, Chendayad, has been subject to this legal action.
Amal Raj faced criminal cases at the Panoor police station, including robbery and causing bodily harm by means of force. There are additional cases pending against him at the Palloor Police Station.
As a result of the legal proceedings, Amal Raj has been prohibited from entering Kannur district and engaging in any form of activity within the district for a duration of one year. This move was executed based on the report submitted by Kannur City Police Commissioner Ajit Kumar, and it received the approval of Kannur Range DIG, Thomson Jose.
