New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday conducted a raid at the residence of Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand in connection with a money laundering case. The ED team arrived at the minister’s house early this morning, and the investigation is still ongoing at Raaj Kumar’s residence.
Anand, an MLA from Patel Nagar, had been under ED surveillance for an extended period. The inspection is being carried out at nine locations, including the minister’s home.
AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are currently in jail in connection with a liquor policy scam. Following Manish Sisodia’s resignation, Raaj Kumar Anand, who was the Labour Minister, assumed the additional portfolios of education and health.
This new development coincides with Arvind Kejriwal’s scheduled questioning today in connection with the liquor policy corruption case. A curfew has been imposed at the ED headquarters, party office premises, and Civil Lines, where the minister’s residence is located, in anticipation of the questioning.
