Heavy rain with thunderstorm in coming days; orange alert issued in three districts

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of possible heavy rain and thunderstorms in the state. An orange alert has been issued for three districts: Idukki, Kozhikode, and Wayanad. Idukki will have an orange alert for the next three days.

Meanwhile, yellow alert has been declared in 9 other districts except Kottayam and Kasaragod. Isolated heavy rains are likely in these districts. According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts tomorrow, and the next day in Idukki, Ernakulam and Pathanamthitta districts.
