Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for isolated heavy rainfall in the state of Kerala. As a result, a yellow alert has been declared in Ernakulam and Idukki districts.
According to the IMD, the low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea is expected to gradually weaken. However, coastal regions of Kerala may experience high waves and storm surges, posing potential risks to fishermen and coastal residents. Authorities advise caution and recommend staying away from dangerous areas as rough sea conditions are likely to intensify.
