Idukki: In a tragic incident, a father-in-law was brutally attacked and killed by his son-in-law. The victim, Tommy, a resident of Kavunthy in Nedumkandam, lost his life in the horrifying assault. The alleged assailant, Jobin Thomas, was taken into police custody. The attack occurred while Tommy was trying to protect his daughter, Tintu, who was also injured during the violent altercation.
Jobin used a machete to assault both Tommy and Tintu, resulting in severe injuries. Tintu’s health condition is described as critical, and she has been admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital. Preliminary information suggests that a family dispute led to this tragic homicide. The police have initiated a case and launched an investigation.
Jobin, who had been engaged in business in Bengaluru had been living separately from his wife, Tintu, for an extended period. The gruesome attack took place at Tommy’s residence in Kavunthy late last night.
