Pathanamthitta: Rohini Naal Goda Varma Raja, aged 77 and a prominent member of the Pandalam Palace family, has passed away. Following his demise, the Pandalam Valiyakoikal Sri Dharma Shastha Temple has been temporarily closed. He was the son of Jayanthan Namboothiri of Pandalam Ossery Cheruvally Illam and Avitam Thirunal Amba Thampuratti of Pandalam Vadakkemuri Puthankoikkal Palace. In his professional life, he served as a postmaster in the postal department.
Rohini Naal Goda Varma Raja also held the positions of former royal representative and former secretary of the Pandalam Palace Executive Committee. His funeral rites are scheduled to take place at Pandalam north palace, tomorrow afternoon.
Survived by his wife, Leela Bai Tamburatti of Ennakkad Palace, he is also survived by his children: Dr. Purnima G. Verma, Chandni G. Verma, and Suraj G. Verma.
