Chandigarh: Two people were apprehended in Amritsar, Punjab, in possession of drugs. The accused were found with 540 grams of heroin after a comprehensive two-day search conducted jointly by the Border Security Force and local police across various areas of Amritsar.
Recent reports had alerted the police to the presence of drug gangs in Amritsar. Consequently, the police, in collaboration with the Border Security Force, initiated a thorough search operation. Authorities confirmed the seizure of 540 grams of drugs and a metallic object resembling a ring from the arrested individuals.
In a separate incident, a Chinese-manufactured quadcopter drone was discovered during a search conducted in Bharopal village, Amritsar, on November 12. The police identified the recovered drone as a Quadcopter (Model-DJI Mavic 3 Classic).
