New Delhi: Amazon is set to launch electric vehicles in India as part of preventing pollution. This initiative is a part of NITI Aayog’s “Shoonya: Zero Pollution Mobility” campaign, emphasising eco-friendly mobility solutions.
This initiative is a key component of Amazon’s Global Last Mile Fleet project, successfully implemented in various countries and now ready for deployment in India. The plan involves the integration of specially designed electric vehicles into Amazon’s delivery system. These vehicles will be made available to Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners (DSPs).
The Mahindra Zor Grand three-wheeler will be available in India. With over 6,000 vehicles already operational in 400 cities, Amazon aims to expand its electric vehicle fleet to more than 10,000 vehicles by 2025.
