Kochi: As the Mandala period and Makaravilakku approach, the High Court has issued an order to include a conductor in the Nilakkal-Pamba KSRTC service. In the preceding year, the absence of a conductor required passengers to buy tickets from queues, causing congestion and inconvenience for devotees.
The directive from the Devaswom Bench is based on a report submitted by M Manoj, Sabarimala Special Commissioner, highlighting the challenges faced by devotees due to the absence of a conductor.
The High Court’s order also emphasises the construction of a bus shelter at Pampa Triveni Junction. It also mentions the urgent need to address potholes along the Nilakkal to Pamba route.
