Kasaragod: On the Poinachi-Bandadka road, a container lorry lost control and overturned, resulting in injuries to two individuals identified as drivers, Dhanush and Shashank, both natives of Ramanathapuram, Karnataka. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at a curve in Punnakkal, situated between Puluvinchi and Anakkallu.
The accident transpired when a lorry from Ramanathapuram was en route to Kanhangad after unloading goods. While turning the curve, the front end of the lorry was stuck on the road and overturned. The cause of the accident was a brake failure.
Both drivers sustained injuries in the accident, and response teams were dispatched to the scene. At approximately half past nine in the morning, an earthmoving machine was employed to lift the overturned lorry.
