Palakkad: A theft occurred at the Cherpulassery BEVCO (Beverages Corporation) outlet, where over 40 liquor bottles and a sum of 20,000 rupees were stolen. The incident occurred last night. The police have started an investigation based on CCTV footage capturing the event.
The thieves entered the shop by breaking the liquor counter. During the police investigation at the BEVCO premises, traces of bloodstains were discovered on the floor, suspected to belong to the thief. A forensic examination of this evidence is underway to assist in the investigation.
A similar theft occurred at the Cherpulassery BEVCO outlet a decade ago, yet the perpetrators remain unidentified.
