Ernakulam: The High Court has mandated the Vigilance Court to present a conclusive report within a deadline of two months regarding the case against Saiby Jose Kidangoor for receiving money from parties under the pretext of bribing High Court judges. This decision comes following a plea filed by Advocate Saiby Jose, urging for the formal documentation of the prosecution case and seeking the annulment of the First Information Report (FIR).
Allegations against Saiby Jose indicate his involvement in soliciting substantial amounts of money from multiple parties, purportedly in exchange for influencing High Court verdicts in their favor. Reportedly, Saiby received a total of 72 lakh rupees through these means. The case against him was registered by the police, acting on the preliminary investigation conducted by the Kochi City Police Commissioner under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and related cheating offences.
