Thiruvananthapuram: In the tragic case of Dr. Shahana’s death, a PG doctor at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, the arrested Dr. Ruwais said that someone should be ready to listen to his side. This reaction came while Ruwais was being taken to the hospital for medical examination. When questioned by the media if he had any statements to make, Ruwais responded that someone should be willing to hear his side of the story as well.
Meanwhile, Ruwais was remanded for 14 days by the Thiruvananthapuram Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. The police report characterized Ruwais’ actions of demanding dowry as ‘uncivilized.’ Furthermore, the police investigation revealed that Shahana’s demise was a result of the pressure exerted by Ruwais regarding the dowry.
