Kasaragod: A central team is set to arrive in Kasaragod today to investigate the Endosulfan dumping incident. This team, led by the National Green Tribunal, will conduct the investigation following a complaint filed by Dr. Rabindranath Shanbhag, a human rights activist from Udupi, Karnataka.

The complaint highlights the unscientific burial of Endosulfan and expresses concerns about the presence of deadly toxins in underground water sources due to years of use. The decision to conduct this investigation was made by the central team.

The incident involving the burial of Endosulfan took place in a disused well at Minchipadavu, Kasaragod, and came to light in 2013 when a former employee of the Plantation Corporation revealed the information.
