Malappuram: A petrol pump employee was assaulted in Perumbadappu, Malappuram. Aslam, a resident of Malappuram, was attacked by a gang of three members. The incident occurred at around 4 am today. The police have reported that a three-member group has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, while the injured Aslam has been admitted to the hospital.
According to sources, a three-member group arrived on a bike early today and got into an argument with the employee, which later escalated into a physical assault. Based on the CCTV footage, the police took the three members into custody. The police mentioned that the group knew Aslam earlier but stated they do not know the reason for the assault. They added that they are currently interrogating the accused. Aslam’s injury is reported as not serious.
