Kolkata: A Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader was shot dead by unknown assailants. The incident took place today afternoon in West Bengal’s Baharampur. Murshidabad Party General Secretary Satyan Chowdhury was the deceased.
According to sources, a group of individuals arrived on bikes and opened fire on Chowdhury at close range. Though he was rushed to a hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
The police informed that the search for the accused has started and the investigation is going on.
