Pathanamthitta: A young man has been arrested for sharing a video promoting alcohol consumption on social media. Abhijith Anil (23), the owner of the ‘Mallu Kudiyan’ Instagram account, was apprehended by the Excise department in Thiruvalla. Abhijith Anil hails from Peringara, Thiruvalla.
Acting upon instructions from the Thiruvalla Circle Inspector, Range Inspector Prasannan G and their team, arrested the accused today. The arrest was made based on information obtained from the Excise Cyber Cell. A case has been filed against him under Section 55 (H) of the Kerala Excise Act. The excise team includes PO Hussain Ahmad, Civil Excise Officer Girish, Women Civil Excise Officers Karthika and Arya, along with Driver Hussain.
