Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hailed the Modi government, stating that it represents the people’s interests, and therefore, the people will always stand with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He made this clarification while speaking to the media.
Leaders from the Uddhav Thackeray faction, including Babanrao Gholap, Sanjay Pawar, and other activists, joined the Shiv Sena today. They accepted membership in the Shiv Sena in the presence of the Chief Minister and Shiv Sena President, Eknath Shinde.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced yesterday that Shinde’s son, Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, will contest in Kalyan in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Elections in Maharashtra will be held in five phases : April 19, April 26, May 7, 13, and 20.
